# Limits and quotas

## Check your allowance

Open **Settings → Billing** in [Cloud Dashboard](https://cloud.myhub.host/dashboard), or run:

```sh
hub usage
```

This shows your effective plan limits, including organization-specific adjustments.

## Free hosting

Free includes unlimited static apps, 1 always-on container, and 2 on-demand containers. Each app instance has up to 1 shared vCPU, 768 MiB RAM, and 2 GiB of writable storage.

Services in an instance share its resource budget. Each service uses a container slot, including while stopped or sleeping. Deleting an instance releases its slots. Static apps do not use container slots; Workspace's production (`prod`) instance is excluded.

Each static release supports up to 512 MiB, 2,048 files, and 50 MiB per file. These limits are enforced before publication; exceeding them leaves the previous release serving. Build, upload, and worker capacity safeguards still apply.

## Need more room?

Contact [vlad@myhub.host](mailto:vlad@myhub.host) to upgrade. A plan change does not delete apps or data; new allocations must fit the current allowance.

## AI Credits

AI Credits measure Hub's deployment assistance and debugging usage in USD. Hub bills them separately from your plan. Check the selected organization's usage with `hub usage --json` or the MCP tool `hub_usage`; container counts and runtime inventory are separate from AI spending.

In **Settings → Billing & usage → AI Credits**, the organization owner can enable paid AI usage when the plan supports it, accept the charges, and set a monthly USD spending limit up to the plan maximum. The owner can also disable AI Credits there.

New AI requests stop at the spending limit; a request already running may finish above it. Recent usage can remain pending while Hub finalizes the cost. Check the current month's total and the last seven days in Billing & usage before changing the limit.
